It has been 91 years to Canadian Tire, but admirable retailer is not letting age divert it from going high-tech.

"We believe that the future is all technology and we want to be on the leading edge of it," said president and CEO Stephen Wetmore, who was visiting Edmonton's 178th street store, one of the company's top-performing dealers, for a charity event.

Canadian Tire has replaced its iconic print catalogue with a digital version that introduce how to videos, editorial features and complete product descriptions. Moving forward with their customers, the retailer is developing on its digital policy to build an online association and engage with customers more consciously through leveraging the social media landscape. Canadian tire, in association with tribal DDB Toronto, aspire to develop a completely reinvented digital catalogue that would afford more inspirational, consumer-centric lens and lifestyle-oriented on its product offering.

Recently, Canadian Tire exposed its brand new digital publication, The Canadian Way, which will be frequently revise with new seasonally applicable content. Spearheading this launch is their first affair of the digital catalogue, The Canadian Way of Spring. Each catalogue release will bring to life the retailer's wide product combination in a digital format.

Canadian Tire Corporation Olympic Sponsor Announcement







Canadian Tire Corp., announced a huge sponsorship deal with Canadian Olympic team and six amateur sports organizations. It has thumped an eight year contract to be a chief national partner of the Canadian Olympic team. It further stretched the partnership contract with Skate Canada, Hockey Canada, Canadian Soccer Association, Canada snowboard and Alpine Canada Alpin.

Canadian Tire offers a mobile app through which customers can view its product on their Androids, iPad, iPhone or blackberry device. Customers can scan products bar-codes and can instantly access product information including price, reviews and availability. Customers can also locate Canadian Tire store based on their current location. Moreover, they can view an online video about how the products work and can also register for the products through the Mobile App. Canadian tire flyers can also be viewed by this Mobile App. Further, when you add a product to shopping list you will receive a sale alert message when the product goes on sale.
